Rapid Antigen Testing (ART)

Rapid Antigen Testing (ART) Program. Screening in pharmacies

This service is aimed at leisure monitors and participating children and young people between the ages of 10 and 40.

Starting Monday, July 19, we will be performing free rapid antigen testing (ART) on people who need to join a summer leisure activity, who are asymptomatic and who are not in close contact.

Who can participate in the screening?

  • Monitors of summer children's and young people's leisure (summer camps, summer camps, camps, routes…)

  • Participants in the following age groups:
    - between 10 and 15 years old (accompanied by a responsible adult)
    - and between 16 and 40 years.

Participating in the screening is voluntary and the group belonging to the field of summer educational leisure must show the pharmacist the e-mail sent by the General Directorate of Youth through the leisure entity or the document of the declaration. of self-responsibility.

When and how will I have access to the results?

The results of the TAR are obtained in approximately 15 minutes and the pharmacist will communicate the result to you. In addition, they will be included in the corresponding information system (TARCAT platform) of the Department of Health. You can check the results of your test in La Meva Salut, starting the next day.

About the TAR Program

It is a joint proposal of the Department of Health, the Department of Social Rights and the Council of Colleges of Pharmacists of Catalonia (CCFC) to expand the identification of new cases and cut the transmission chains in this area, which involves 180,000 people, 20,000 of whom are monitors.
